Dying is easy... Dying in a movie is even easier.

The only two things a man can never avoid are death and taxes. But since a movie about someone doing their taxes would be foolish, people tend to die on screen quite a lot.
This week we take a look at some of the best, the worst, and the funniest death scenes in movies.

A show about Michael Mann without a "Mann/Man" pun in the title.

There are very few directors that have come as close to batting 1000 as Michael Mann. For years it appeared as if he was incapable of making a bad movie. He has slipped a little in recent years, but he is still very close to being perfect.
This week we discuss the man behind some of the most visually striking, narrative tight, and brilliantly acted films ever made.

Film Thugs- The college years.

Sense memory is a wonderful thing. For those unfamiliar with the concept, sense memory is when a sensory reaction (a sight, a sound, a smell, a certain texture) reminds you of a certain time and place. Like how certain movies can send us back to certain times in our lives just by the opening music.
This week we decided to look at the movies that take us back to our college days. We go, year by year, through our college experience and discuss the movies that most represent that time in our lives.

Reign of Fire- Progressive Commentary
Sunday Jun 23, 2013
Sunday Jun 23, 2013
There are some performances that transcend career defining and succeed in doing something so much more than that. They end up defining awesome.
Reign of Fire is a movie that personifies, "Eh, it was OK." As a film it's a solid C or maybe a C+. But then there is Matthew Mcconaughey. It is literally impossible to say how awesome he is in this movie because we have not yet developed a system of measurement that could chart Matthew Mcconaughey in this film.

This is our progressive commentary for "Reign of Fire." We watch 15 minutes, then talk, then the next 15, then talk, and so on.
Join us for our up to the minute commenting on this overlooked masterpiece.

The Man of Steel and Beyond
Sunday Jun 16, 2013
Sunday Jun 16, 2013
There are very few instances where something could be called the definitive example of a genre. However, in the superhero world, it's fairly evident. Not is Superman the most powerful superhero, he's the reason they are called superheroes.
This week we celebrate the arrival of The Man of Steel by talking all things Superman. From the early, doughy TV actors to today, we discuss Clarkson's absolute favorite.
