Another Look Into the Future- The "Must See" Movies of 2014
Sunday Nov 17, 2013
Sunday Nov 17, 2013
The summer of 2014 is going to be rife with big fun movies. That's not really much in the way of prognostication, it's just a simple and accepted fact. Summer means big, dumb releases. This year, the Den of Geek was kind enough to put together a list of the 35 "must see" movies of 2014. Being the industrious podcasters we are, instead of coming up with an idea and researching it, we decided to just talk about the movies on their list.
So... here it is. Our look into the future at summer 2014.

Halloween in early November

I heard you missed us, we're back!
That's right, people. After the longest hiatus in Film Thugs history we are back, and what better way to return in early November than with our Halloween Horror Show.
This week we take a look at Horror movies, fast food, Henry Rollins, and The Ramones, because that's what we do.
Also, Clarkson took some time and put together a rather comprehensive list of his horror essentials.
He was even kind enough to put together a "family friendly" horror list as well.
The Abominable Dr. Phibes (1971)

Peter Jackson: An Unexpected Career
Sunday Oct 20, 2013
Sunday Oct 20, 2013
Some careers really surprise you.
20 years ago, when I first saw "Bad Taste," I never in a million years would have guessed that the guy behind that would go on to become one of the most powerful, big budget directors of all time. Just goes to show what I know much I know.
This week we take a look at a career that went from low budget and indie to high budget cutting edge in an almost ridiculous span of time.

The Vanity Project
Sunday Oct 13, 2013
Sunday Oct 13, 2013
Every once and a while a celebrity reaches a level of both status and hubris to allow for some truly amazing things to happen.
The vanity project. That weird little idea that an actor or director or musician has that should never see the light of day, but due to their level of celebrity, the lack of people who are willing to say no to them, and the blind ego that comes with sudden fame, the world gets to see how insane and childish they truly are.
So, hang out and see what Jim and Clarkson think about this whole thing.

Sunday Sep 29, 2013
Sunday Sep 29, 2013
Is there a more bad ass actor working today than Samuel L. Jackson? Honestly, is there?
From character actor to highest grossing box office star of all time, Samuel L. Jackson has run the gamut of Hollywood. So, this week we decided to have a discussion about this very subject.
